Caren Wigmore ND
Naturopath, Nutritionist and Herbalist
BHSc (Nat) ANTA
Caren studied a 4 year Health Science degree in Melbourne with the Australian College of Natural Medicine and has been in private practice for over 10 years. Her practice is based on Nutritional medicine, using “food as medicine”, nutritional supplements, scientifically validated herbals preparations, diet, and lifestyle recommendations.
Caren’s training has given her insight into the foundational role that food choices make on disease processes. Naturally found chemicals and proteins in food can exacerbate or aid certain disease processes depending on your body make-up: its is her job to find the best foods for your body.
It is Caren’s passion and desire to help others find a better way to health. As a mother of three she understands the delicate balance of a busy career; nurturing a family and not neglecting yourself. She would love to help you find your way back to health.
Caren uses a lot of Functional Pathology tests to investigate the functional, biochemical, nutritional, metabolic and hormonal status of her patients. The results assist her in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients seeking a holistic approach to health. Her areas of special interest include fatigue, menopause, stress and anxiety, insomnia and food intolerances and Pyrrole disorder.
Caren is a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA). She is often asked to share her knowledge as a presenter in the corporate sector as well as selected health and healing retreats. She maintains continuing professional development by attending regular seminars and conferences throughout each year and dedicates numerous hours each week to new research.
