Clinical Nutritionist and Naturopath

womens health naturopath and nutritionist Caryn Levick

BHSc (NutMed), BHSc (Nat), ANTA, ARONAH

Caryn is the owner and founder of Perpetual Wellbeing Natural Health Clinic. She offers Naturopathy and Nutrition Consultations at the Graceville clinic and online. She has been in private practice for over 15 years.

Caryn grew up in South Africa, and this is where she developed an interest in Natural Medicine. At the time, the best option for her was to move over to Australia to pursue her studies at one of the leading colleges of Natural Medicine – The Endeavour College of Natural Health (formally the Australian College of Natural Medicine).

Caryn studied full time for 6 years, to achieve a double Bachelor of Health Science degree in both Nutritional Medicine and then Naturopathy. The degree's covered in‐depth study in areas of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, research, nutritional biochemistry and clinical nutrition, herbal pharmacognosy and clinical herbal medicine, dietary medicine, clinical case taking, communication and professional interaction.

Although Caryn is a ‘General Practice’ Naturopath and Nutritionist for complex multi-system cases, she has a special interest as a womens health naturopath as well as gastro-intestinal health, anxiety and depression, fatigue and adrenal health, hormone imbalances and functional pathology.

There is nothing Caryn loves more about her job, than getting a set of test results back for a patient confirming her suspicion and suddenly everything makes so much sense about why they are feeling the way they are! It excites her to be able to dig to the deepest cellular biochemical pathway to truly understand the causes and contributing factors of her patients’ symptoms.

The human body is so complex. For any diagnosed condition, or presenting symptoms, a thorough case taking consultation helps me to start connecting the dots of what the possible causative pathways may include in your presenting symptoms. From there, I may recommend some general or functional pathology to confirm and use as a baseline as we launch into a treatment plan to identify and treat the cause!

Caryn works closely with other health care professionals; she refers when necessary and she welcomes an inter-professional collaboration to provide her patients with the best possible care.

Caryn is a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) and the Australian Register of Naturopaths and Herbalists (ARONAH).

Caryn maintains continuing professional development by attending regular seminars and conferences throughout each year. She also dedicates numerous hours each week to new research.

She is registered with most Australian private health funds.
